This day is about creating space to respond to yourself.
Stress is not simply something that happens in your mind.
It affects your body.
Your energy.
Your focus.
Your emotions.
Your relationships.
Your ability to recover.
And eventually, your ability to keep showing up the way you want to.
The Resilience & Stress Management: For the High-Stress Professional workshop gives you a foundation.
The retreat takes that foundation deeper.
Over the course of a full day, we will explore the science behind stress, how prolonged stress can affect the way you function, how to recognize your own patterns, and what it actually means to build resilience.
But this is not designed to be eight hours of sitting in a chair listening to someone talk.
You will have opportunities to:
Learn.
Understand what stress is doing and why your body responds the way it does.
Reflect.
Look at how stress is showing up in your own life.
Experience.
Practice practical strategies rather than simply hearing about them.
Connect.
Share space and conversation with others who understand what it means to carry a lot.
Reset.
Create intentional space away from the demands, distractions, and expectations of everyday life.
Build.
Begin developing a resilience practice that can continue long after the retreat ends.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN STRESS BECOMES YOUR NORMAL?
You keep going.
You handle the responsibilities.
You take care of everyone else.
You get the job done.
You tell yourself you will slow down later.
You tell yourself you are fine.
Until one day you realize:
You do not remember the last time you actually felt rested.
Maybe your patience is shorter.
Maybe your energy is different.
Maybe you feel disconnected from yourself.
Maybe you are constantly "on."
Maybe you have become so accustomed to functioning under pressure that you do not recognize how much it is costing you.
And maybe you are beginning to wonder:
"Is this really how I am supposed to live?"
The answer is not simply to eliminate stress.
Stress is part of life.
The goal is to develop the capacity to respond to it differently.
We often define resilience as:
Push through.
Keep going.
Do not quit.
Get back up.
But resilience is more than endurance.
The capacity to recognize what is happening.
The capacity to pause before reacting.
The capacity to regulate.
The capacity to adapt.
The capacity to recover.
And the capacity to choose what comes next.
The retreat is designed to help you explore what those capacities look like in your actual life - NOT just on paper.

Understand what stress is, why your body responds the way it does, and what happens when stress becomes prolonged or chronic.
Explore the relationship between your brain, nervous system, body, emotions, behavior, and environment.
Learn to identify the physical, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral signals that may indicate your stress load is exceeding your current capacity.
Move beyond the idea that resilience means simply bouncing back.
Explore resilience as something that can be developed, practiced, and strengthened.
Experience tools involving breath, grounding, movement, awareness, reflection, intentional pauses, and recovery.
Begin identifying what you need—not what everyone else needs from you—and determine where resilience can become part of your everyday life.
WHAT YOU WILL WALK AWAY WITH

You do not need to have everything figured out.
You do not need to be "good at mindfulness."
You do not need to know how to meditate.
You do not need to be in crisis.
And you do not need to become someone different.
Come exactly as you are.

“I know I cannot keep doing this.”
“I do not even know how to slow down anymore.”
“Everyone thinks I am fine.”
“I just need to get through this.”
“I want to feel like myself again.”
"I know something needs to change, but I do not know where to start."
This experience was designed with you in mind.
Dr. Windy Blades brings together health science, lived experience, professional expertise, and practical application to help people understand a question that is often overlooked:
What happens when being strong becomes the only way you know how to survive?
With a Doctor of Health Sciences and Master of Public Health, Dr. Blades has spent years studying health and human behavior—not simply from an academic perspective, but through the lens of real life.
As a U.S. Army Combat Veteran and founder of Tactical Health & Wellness, she understands that resilience is not an abstract concept.
It is something we build.
Something we practice.
And something that can change the way we move through difficult seasons of life.
Her work centers on helping people move beyond simply managing stress and toward building the capacity to respond, recover, reconnect, and move forward.
“Resilience redefined: another way to wellness.”
